ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Liam Collier, and If you are reading this I sincerely thank you for supporting my site by visiting and/or buying, which subsequently supports this passion project of mine. Making this website has been a dream of mine for a while, and I have only recently finally got around to making it.
I have lived in Newfoundland for most of my life, and it is here where I have gained a love of the maritime field through my grandfather. In particular, one area that has always piqued my interest were lighthouses. These structures, so integral to maritime navigation throughout history and into the future, have many stories to tell, and are responsible for saving the lives of countless mariners.
Using my modelling skills, I have taken it upon myself to document every lighthouse in Newfoundland and Labrador in stunning 3D so that these structures, many of them forgotten to history, can be brought back to life for all to see.

faq regarding the site and store
Q: "When purchasing from the store, what am I buying?"
A: "You are purchasing an STL file. STL files are digital files which can be imported into any 3D modelling software or 3D printing software. STL files do not include any colour. The intention is for you to be able to print off the STL file to be used as a trinket/decorative piece."
Q: "What should I do if the STL file I bought won't print properly?"
A: "If the model you purchased is not printing properly, make sure its not an issue on your end first, such as a 3D printer error. If it is a problem with the model itself, please contact me at nllh3d.ca@gmail.com so that I can update the model, resupply you with the new model, and also update the model on the site. If a model has to be revised at any point, It will be listed on the product page. You will have free access to all revisions of a model if it ever gets one so long as you can provide proof of purchase upon requesting an updated version via email.
Q: "I don't have a 3D printer. Can I still have a printed 3D model shipped to me?"
A: "At the moment, the scope of the website does not extend to shipping orders. In the future, this may change. In the meantime however, there are plenty of businesses that specialize in 3D printing services (Whether you live in Newfoundland or elsewhere) that can print and ship the printed STL file to you. In the St. John's area, some libraries also have 3D printers available to use."
Q: "Do you plan on selling anything else in the future?"
A: "Right now, the focus is on modelling the lighthouses in Newfoundland and Labrador. I may experiement with some maritime/lighthouse themed items of a more practical sense that are able to be 3D printed in the future. (Lighthouse themed salt and pepper shakers for example)
